A man from the Town of Williamson was arrested Friday following an investigation into a single-vehicle motor vehicle collision in the Town of Sodus.
After deputies were called to the motor vehicle collision, further investigation determined the operator was in an intoxicated condition while operating the vehicle. 45-year-old Richard Segarra was transported to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, where he voluntarily submitted to a chemical test. His BAC was revealed to be 0.17%.
Segarra was released with appearance tickets and other vehicle and traffic law citations to appear in Sodus Town Court at a later date.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation; the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
