A woman was arrested in the Town of Marion Sunday night following an investigation into a recent domestic dispute.
It’s alleged that 29-year-old Jessica Martinez of Marion struck a victim in the head with a hand lantern, causing a laceration to the victim’s head. Martinez was arrested Nov. 23 by the Wayne County Sheriff’s office and charged with criminal possession of a weapon and assault.
She was arraigned in Wayne County CAP at the Wayne County Jail.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation; the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
