The Finger Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce recently hosted a Member Milestone Celebration Open House to mark the 50th Anniversary of Sinicropi Florist. The event took place on November 14 at the florist’s downtown Seneca Falls location at 64 Fall Street.
Founded in 1975 by Joyce Sinicropi, Sinicropi Florist has been a staple of the Seneca Falls and Geneva communities for five decades. The shop is known for its fresh flowers, vibrant plants, and signature creative designs, serving customers for weddings, birthdays, sympathy arrangements, get-well wishes, and other special occasions. The florist’s gift boutique offers a curated selection of unique items for celebrations and milestones.
In recent years, as Joyce prepared for retirement, Sinicropi Florist was purchased by Allen Floral Group LLC of Central New York, owned by Andrew Allen. The group operates additional locations in Syracuse, as well as florists in Cortland and Utica. Since the acquisition, Allen has maintained the shop’s experienced local team and continued the same high-quality service that has kept Sinicropi Florist thriving.
During the Open House, attendees enjoyed refreshments and small bites prepared by long-time manager and designer Betty Shaffer, who has been with the business for 40 years and is often regarded as the face of Sinicropi Florist. Guests also participated in drawings, special sales, and mingled with staff, including both former and new owners, before gathering for a group photo.
Member Milestone Celebrations are a benefit of FLX Chamber membership and are available to eligible businesses to commemorate anniversaries, grand openings, relocations, and other milestones.
