The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office says a Richmond man was arrested Sunday night for driving while intoxicated.
Deputies were called after multiple 911 reports of a disturbance on Reed Road. Officials say 37-year-old Rick A. Desimone II had driven his car to a home while allegedly intoxicated. When deputies tried to take him into custody after field sobriety tests, he ran but was caught a short distance away.
Desimone was issued tickets for DWI and resisting arrest. He was released and is scheduled to appear in Richmond Town Court at a later date.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation; the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
