A Rose Man was taken into custody on Nov. 13 following an investigation into a traffic stop that resulted in a DWI and drug charges.
Following a stop that was caused by his erratic driving, 38-year-old Carl Conboy was determined to be in an intoxicated state following a field sobriety test conducted by Wayne County Deputies. Conboy’s chemical breath test sample revealed a BAC of 0.12%.
During a search of the vehicle, deputies located a container containing suspected cocaine and other paraphernalia. Conboy was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, failure to stop at a stop sign, having an open alcohol beverage container in his vehicle, and DWI.
He was transported to the local jail to await arraignment and will be scheduled to reappear in court at a later date for further proceedings.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation; the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
