A 17-year-old Naples teen was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester after a two-car crash on Italy Valley Road on Monday morning.
According to authorities, the accident occurred around 8:00 a.m. near 6200 Italy Valley Road. Investigators say Ethan Smith, traveling westbound in winter conditions, failed to negotiate a turn and struck a pickup truck head-on. The truck was driven by 33-year-old Shane Troth of Naples, who was not injured.
Smith was treated for pain in his upper right leg.
Traffic charges are pending.
