UPDATE:
A man has been arrested in connection with a threat that forced the cancellation of the Christkindl Dinner Dance at Canandaigua’s Granger Homestead last weekend.
Canandaigua Police say 56-year-old Michael Keitz, from Ontario County, was taken into custody on Sunday and charged with making a terroristic threat.
Investigators say Keitz allegedly sent a message on Friday threatening the event, which led organizers to call it off over safety concerns. Police also learned Keitz is wanted by U.S. Marshals on a federal warrant tied to a bank robbery in Buffalo. He was booked at the Ontario County Jail and arraigned in CAP Court.
The New York State Police assisted in the investigation, which is still ongoing.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation; the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

A holiday event at the Granger Homestead in Canandaigua was canceled this weekend after an email threat.
Canandaigua Police say they were notified Friday afternoon about a message sent to the Homestead that threatened potential violence at the annual Christkindl Dinner Dance, which was scheduled for Saturday night.
Police immediately launched an investigation with assistance from the New York State Police to determine the origin and credibility of the threat. Officers also worked with event organizers to increase security around the property throughout the weekend to ensure the safety of guests, volunteers, and staff.
Out of an abundance of caution, organizers canceled Saturday’s event.
Investigators say they have followed multiple leads but have found no credible evidence supporting the threat, which appeared to be directed solely at the Granger Homestead event. Police say no other threats have been made against the community.
The investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact Lieutenant Lawrence of the Canandaigua Police Department at (585) 337-2106 or by email at [email protected].
