SHARE NOW

Less than a week after staging a rally outside Congresswoman Claudia Tenney’s Canandaigua office, Democratic challenger Steve Holden has announced he is dropping out of the race.

In a statement released to his campaign’s Facebook page, Holden thanked supporters and said his time in politics had come to an end. He added that while he hasn’t decided on his next steps, he plans to focus on his family in New York, Oklahoma, and Georgia.

Holden previously ran against Tenney in the 2022 election for New York’s 24th Congressional District.
