A man was arrested in the Town of Starkey on Oct. 23 following an investigation into a stolen credit card by the Yates County Sheriff’s Office.
The man, identified as Edison Maisonave-Coto, is alleged to have stolen the credit card from a Yates County resident and later used it to purchase merchandise in the Village of Penn Yan.
Maisonave-Coto was released on an appearance ticket and will appear in the Town of Starkey Court at a later date for further court proceedings.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
