Improvements to one Auburn park will continue into next year.
The City has announced that Phase II of the Wall Street Park and Playground Improvement Project will begin work this fall, with completion anticipated for spring 2026. Phase II will include pouring the concrete pad for a picnic pavilion to be installed in the spring, installing fencing on the north side of the basketball court, sealing the court, and installing a spiderweb playground feature.
City officials have previously touted the success of Phase I of the project, which was completed in 2024, and was well-received by the neighborhood.
Funding for the project was provided by the federal Community Development Block Grant Program.
