State Police say a Painted Post woman has been arrested after a domestic incident involving her child Sunday night.
Troopers were called to a home on Redwood Circle around 7:00 p.m. and said 34-year-old Rheanna Kusek was involved in a physical altercation with her 10-year-old child. Investigators say the incident violated a full stay-away order of protection that the court had already issued.
Kusek was taken into custody without incident and charged with aggravated family offense and first-degree criminal contempt, both felonies, along with several misdemeanors, including criminal obstruction of breathing and endangering the welfare of a child.
She was taken to the Steuben County Jail for arraignment, where a new order of protection was issued on behalf of the child.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
