A Newark couple is facing drug charges in Ontario County following a Monday traffic stop on State Route 332 in the town of Farmington.
During their roadside investigation, deputies discovered 51-year-old Chad Mcdonald and 50-year-old Kelly Mcdonald, to be in possession of crack cocaine. Chad Mcdonald is also accused of possessing several Hydrocodone pills.
Chad McDonald was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation and two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance. Kelly Mcdonald was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Both were released on appearance tickets for Farmington Town Court.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
