Finger Lakes Chamber Hosts October Networking Mixer at Finger Lakes Textiles

The Finger Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce held its October Business After Hours Networking Mixer on Wednesday, October 8, at Finger Lakes Textiles (FLT) in Waterloo.

Located at 1885 Danaren Drive, near the Bonadent and Seneca County office buildings, Finger Lakes Textiles is a division of Mozaic, producing textile products for small start-up companies, retail outlets, and both state and federal military contracts.

Finger Lakes Textiles began operations in 1994 as Seneca Cayuga Knit Operations, initially based at the historic Seneca Knitting Mills in Seneca Falls. In 2015, the Arc of Seneca Cayuga purchased the former Danaren Building, and by 2019, the newly expanded 15,000-square-foot facility was officially open for business.

Today, the company employs more than 50 people in an inclusive workforce and manufactures over 1.2 million pieces of winter headwear annually for the U.S. Armed Forces under its commercial brand, Arctic Gear.

During the Chamber event, attendees toured the facility, spoke with employees, and observed the manufacturing process firsthand. Mozaic President and CEO Allen Connely welcomed guests and highlighted the organization’s growth and achievements. When asked who was visiting the site for the first time, nearly all attendees raised their hands—a sign, Chamber President Miranda Odell noted, of the importance of showcasing member businesses and sharing their stories through these events.

The Chamber’s next Business After Hours Mixer will be held on Wednesday, November 12, from 4 to 6 p.m. at All Clean Power Wash, located at 4330 Route 96 in Shortsville. Attendance is $10 for members and $20 for non-members, unless participants hold a 2025 BAH Season Pass, which includes entry but still requires a reservation.

For reservations or more information, contact the Chamber at [email protected] or call 315-789-1776.
