A Dundee woman has been charged after deputies say a small child wandered away from home and was seen running in the road.
The Yates County Sheriff’s Office says 44-year-old Jennifer Berry was charged with endangering the welfare of a child after the incident on Millard Street around 3:14 p.m. on October 15th.
Deputies say the child left the home while under Berry’s supervision and was spotted running in the roadway before safely returning home.
Berry was issued an appearance ticket and is due to appear in Starkey Town Court at a later date.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
