The Partnership for Ontario has rebranded to Ontario Cares, a move the nonprofit says reflects its ongoing commitment to ” supporting individuals, families, and communities with compassion, connection, and hope.”

“Our new name captures the heart of what we’ve always stood for,” said Gwen Van Laeken, executive director of Ontario Cares. “We care deeply about the people we serve, and every program, partnership, and initiative we lead is rooted in compassion and connection.”

Ontario Cares is headquartered in Canandaigua and oversees a variety of programs and initiatives throughout Ontario County, including EPIC Zone youth drop-in centers in Geneva and Bloomfield, short-term counseling, community wellness initiatives, and suicide and substance abuse prevention efforts.

The name change also comes with a new logo and website that Van Laekrn says better reflect Ontario Cares’ renewed energy and focus.

“Ontario Cares better communicates who we are today and where we’re headed,” said Van Laeken. “It’s a name that reminds us of our purpose, which is to care for our community and help it thrive.”
