The Keuka College field hockey team fell 4-0 to SUNY Brockport on Wednesday in Empire 8 Conference play at the Jephson Community Athletic Complex.
The Wolves held the Golden Eagles scoreless through the first half before allowing four goals in the second. With the loss, Keuka drops to 0-12 overall and 0-5 in conference play.
Tori Nelson of Vernon Center set a new Keuka College career record with two defensive saves, bringing her total to 16 and breaking the previous mark held by Alizabeth Knout. Goalkeeper Nijeylie Torres of East Irondequoit made eight saves in the second half, raising her career total to 50 — sixth all-time in program history.
Keuka opened the game strong, maintaining early possession and creating scoring opportunities, including a close-range shot from Jaime Harrigan that was stopped by the Brockport goalkeeper. The teams were tied 0-0 at halftime after a defensive second quarter.
Brockport broke through less than a minute into the third quarter and added two more goals before the end of the period. The Golden Eagles sealed the win with a fourth goal in the final quarter.
The Wolves have yet to defeat Brockport in program history, with the Golden Eagles now leading the all-time series 10-0.
