Rochester Woman Charged After Alleged Child Abuse at Walworth Daycare

SHARE NOW

A Rochester woman is facing charges after deputies say she mistreated a child at a daycare facility in Wayne County.

According to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, 24-year-old Abigail Dalicandro was arrested following an investigation into an incident that happened July 25 at Inspire Learning and Child Care on Mildahn Road in Walworth.

Deputies allege that while working at the daycare, Dalicandro repeatedly pushed and held a one-year-old child face down on a sleeping mat after the child refused to take a nap.

Dalicandro is charged with endangering the welfare of a child. She was processed at the Wayne County Jail and released on an appearance ticket.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
