A Canadice man has been charged after deputies say he made a false 911 call to prompt a police response.
According to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, 34-year-old Derrick Krager knowingly made a false report to 911, leading deputies to respond to his home unnecessarily. Krager was charged with Falsely Reporting an Incident in the Third Degree.
He was released and is scheduled to appear in Canadice Town Court at a later date.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
