Two people were taken to the hospital Tuesday afternoon following a three-vehicle crash on State Routes 5&20 in the Town of Seneca.

According to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened around 1:55 p.m. near Sutton Road. Investigators say 28-year-old Jordean Baglio of Seneca Falls was driving east when her vehicle struck the rear of another driven by 51-year-old William Vervoordeldon of Geneva.

The impact pushed Vervoordeldon’s vehicle into the opposite lane, where it collided with a third vehicle driven by 65-year-old Melanie Wickham of Stanley. Wickham’s vehicle then left the road and rolled over into a nearby yard.

Officials said no serious injuries were reported, though two drivers were taken to the hospital for evaluation.

Baglio was cited for following too closely.

The Seneca Castle Fire Department, Stanley Fire Department, Hall Fire Department, Finger Lakes Ambulance, and Gorham Ambulance assisted at the scene.
