A Rochester man was arrested Saturday afternoon by the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office following the investigation into several reports of a sick or intoxicated driver heading east on State Route 251 in Victor.
According to the Sheriff’s Department, the car was later located on Keefewood Drive in the town of Victor after it had allegedly struck the garage door at one residence. It was also determined that the car was involved in another accident in the area of State Route 251 and Cook Road, where it struck a sign. The driver of the car was identified as 24-year-old Kurt Schultz, Jr. It is alleged that he showed significant signs of intoxication during Standardized Field Sobriety tests and was placed under arrest.
Schultz was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, and he was released on an appearance ticket.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
