A Conesus man has been charged after authorities say he made a threat that led to a lockdown at a Seneca County business.
The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office arrested 39-year-old Roger Gillette on Oct. 8 for making a threat of mass harm. Investigators say Gillette allegedly threatened to create a list of individuals and return to his workplace with a firearm. The business subsequently went into lockdown as a precaution.
Deputies obtained an extreme risk protection order against Gillette, requiring him to surrender all firearms. A search warrant was also executed to seize any weapons.
Gillette was taken to the Seneca County Correctional Facility to await arraignment.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
