The Keuka College men’s soccer team dropped a 3-0 Empire 8 Conference game at Hartwick College.
Goalkeeper Tyler Spina (Bradford, N.Y.) set a career-high with seven saves, including a diving stop just before halftime, keeping the Wolves competitive despite falling behind early. Hartwick scored on their second shot of the game in the fourth minute and added a second goal in the 54th minute. A late counterattack gave the Hawks their third goal, sealing the 3-0 victory.
Keuka generated its first corner in the 68th minute but could not convert, and Timothy Cowin (Syracuse, N.Y.) had a late shot miss left as time ran out. The loss drops the Wolves to 0-10 overall and 0-5 in Empire 8 play.
Keuka will return home for a five-game homestand, starting Wednesday, October 8, hosting Houghton University at 4 p.m. at the Jephson Community Athletic Complex.
