A 37-year-old Palmyra man was arrested following a domestic investigation in the town, according to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies say Scott Davis was involved in a physical altercation with a victim, during which he allegedly choked the individual, before leaving the scene on foot. He was later located and charged with criminal obstruction of breathing and second-degree harassment.
Davis was transported to the Wayne County Jail for centralized arraignment. An order of protection for the victim was requested, and Davis will appear in Palmyra Town Court for further proceedings.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
