A 22-year-old woman has been charged after police say she stole a vehicle from a local dealership during a test drive.
According to the Ithaca Police Department, officers received the report on Friday at 5:45 p.m. The vehicle and the suspect, identified as Unique Morrow, were later located on the 500 block of West State Street.
Morrow was taken into custody without incident and charged with second-degree grand larceny, a Class C felony, and criminal tampering, a misdemeanor.
She was released on an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Ithaca City Court on October 8.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
