A Waterloo man was arrested early Friday morning on an outstanding Ontario County warrant.
Deputies say 21-year-old John Walker II was taken into custody around 12:20 a.m. after Waterloo Police encountered him during a separate incident. Officers discovered Walker had an active warrant from Ontario County and notified deputies.
Walker was transported to the Ontario County Jail, where he is being held pending arraignment.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
