A Wayne County man is facing charges after deputies say he was driving under the influence of drugs in East Bloomfield.
According to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, 20-year-old Jackson Day of Palmyra was stopped around 9:16 p.m. on Monday near the intersection of State Route 5 and Oakmount Road. Deputies say they determined Day was impaired by drugs and took him into custody.
He was issued tickets for driving while ability impaired by drugs, as well as for speeding and having an inadequate muffler.
Day was released and is scheduled to appear in East Bloomfield Town Court at a later date to answer the charges.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation; the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
