A Cato woman was arrested following an investigation into an alcohol-related complaint.
Cayuga County Sheriff’s Deputies say 29-year-old Katilyn Guzewicz was taken into custody on September 26th and charged with Unlawfully Dealing with a Child in the First Degree, a misdemeanor.
The arrest followed a complaint at the Speedway in the Town of Cato, where staff reported that a former employee had purchased alcohol for a male under the age of 21. Deputies determined Guzewicz was responsible.
She was processed and released with an appearance ticket. Guzewicz is scheduled to appear in Cato Town Court on October 6th at 6 p.m.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation; the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
