The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Rose man following a domestic incident on Brown Road.
Deputies say 39-year-old Troy Dickens was taken into custody at his home on Sept. 26 after an investigation into an incident two days earlier. According to investigators, Dickens argued with the victim and prevented her from leaving by grabbing her, leaving visible marks.
At the time of the incident, deputies say there was an active order of protection against Dickens in place to protect the victim.
He was charged with Criminal Obstruction of Breathing, Unlawful Imprisonment in the second degree, Criminal Contempt in the first degree, and Harassment in the second degree.
Dickens was transported to the Wayne County Jail to await centralized arraignment on Sept. 27
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
