New York State Police have arrested a Maine, NY man after a pedestrian was fatally struck in the Town of Nanticoke on Wednesday.
Authorities say 36-year-old Nathanael Manwaring intentionally hit 41-year-old Rodney Clark of Binghamton with his pick-up truck following a dispute at a residence on Lamb Road. Clark was transported to Wilson Hospital by a private vehicle, where he later died from his injuries.
Manwaring has been charged with second-degree murder, a Class A felony, and first-degree manslaughter, a Class B felony. He was processed at SP Binghamton before being transported to the Broome County Correctional Facility for arraignment.
Investigators from the New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation, including the Major Crimes Unit and Forensic Identification Unit, responded to the scene and Wilson Hospital. The investigation was assisted by the Broome County Sheriff’s Department and the Johnson City Police Department.
