A Rochester man is facing multiple charges after a traffic stop in Farmington early Sunday morning.
The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office says deputies pulled over a vehicle near the intersection of State Route 332 and Canandaigua Farmington Town Line Road around 1:40 a.m. on Sunday.
The driver, 30-year-old Jack Wallwork, was determined to be intoxicated following field sobriety tests. Deputies also found him in possession of five pills identified as a schedule II controlled substance, which were not in a prescription bottle.
Wallwork was charged with driving while intoxicated, criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, and issued tickets for leaving his lane unsafely and speeding. He was released with an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Canandaigua Town Court at a later date.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
