A Steuben County Grand Jury has returned a 14-count indictment against Dominick Bova, of Corning, in connection with an alleged armed robbery at the First Federal Credit Union in Addison on August 22.
According to Steuben County District Attorney Brooks Baker, the 30-year-old Bova allegedly entered the bank on West First Street around 10:30 a.m. wearing a blond wig. He reportedly pointed a pistol at employees, demanded money, and fled out the back door within seconds.
After a two-week investigation, Bova was arrested on September 5 during an early morning raid in the City of Corning. He was immediately charged, and the case was presented to a Steuben County Grand Jury.
The grand jury indictment includes:
- Two counts of first- and second-degree robbery (felony)
- One count of third-degree robbery (felony)
- One count of second-degree coercion (felony)
- One count of third-degree intimidating a witness (felony)
- Three counts of tampering with physical evidence (felony)
- One count of third-degree criminal possession of a weapon (felony)
- Three counts of second-degree menacing (misdemeanor)
Bova was held without bail at Steuben County Jail following his arrest and is scheduled to appear for arraignment on the indictment in Steuben County Court in the coming weeks.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
