The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a Marion man following an investigation into a criminal mischief complaint.
Deputies say 19-year-old Alan Anderson is accused of spray-painting the walls of a North Main Street building, covering more than 135 feet of space. The damage is estimated at about $800.
Anderson was charged with fourth-degree Criminal Mischief. He was processed at the Sheriff’s Office and released with an appearance ticket.
He is scheduled to appear in Marion Town Court on September 24.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
