Ontario County Sheriff David Cirencione has endorsed Assistant District Attorney Jason MacBride in his campaign for county District Attorney.
Cirencione praised MacBride’s work ethic and dedication to victims, saying he consistently prioritizes meeting with victims, witnesses, and law enforcement before court proceedings. He described MacBride’s trial preparation and record in the courtroom as “unmatched,” adding that his attention to detail and knowledge of the law make him well-suited to serve as the county’s next top prosecutor.
The Sheriff noted he is joining the Ontario County Police Benevolent Association, the Ontario County Lieutenants’ PBA, and other local law enforcement groups in supporting MacBride’s candidacy.
MacBride, who currently serves in the Ontario County DA’s office, is running to succeed District Attorney Jim Ritts, who announced he will retire in October after nearly three decades in the office.
