The Girl Scouts of NYPENN Pathways (GSNYPENN) will recognize Sheila Doyle, Senior Associate Vice President & Deputy Chief of Staff to the President of Binghamton University, as its 2025 Woman of Distinction at a special breakfast event later this week.
Now in its 25th year, the annual Women of Distinction event celebrates women in the greater Binghamton community who exemplify the Girl Scouts’ mission of building girls of courage, confidence, and character through outstanding leadership and service. This year’s event, presented by the YS Kim Foundation, will take place on Thursday, from 7:30 to 9 a.m. at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Binghamton, located at 225 Water Street.
“Sheila Doyle is a dynamic leader whose dedication to service, professional excellence and lifelong commitment to Girl Scouting inspires us all,” said GSNYPENN CEO Julie Dale.
With more than two decades of experience in higher education and financial management, Doyle plays a key role in strategic planning, endowment oversight, real estate development, and advancement operations for Binghamton University and its affiliates. She also brings extensive experience from past roles in personal trust and estate administration at Chase Manhattan Bank and M&T Bank.
A lifelong Girl Scout, Doyle is a former board president of the Girl Scouts of Indian Hills Legacy Council and served on the realignment committee that helped form GSNYPENN following the merger of several councils. She is also a recipient of the prestigious Girl Scout Thanks Badge, as well as multiple honors, including the SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Professional Service and Women of Achievement Award.
Tickets to the breakfast are $45 per person, with proceeds supporting scholarships for Gold Award Girl Scouts, the highest honor in Girl Scouting.
