A Seneca Falls woman has been taken into custody after failing to appear in court on previous charges.
Police say Makayla Walker-Squires was arrested on September 10 around 9:23 a.m. on a bench warrant. The warrant stemmed from an earlier case in which she was charged with burglary, petit larceny, and attempted petit larceny.
Walker-Squires was brought to Seneca Falls Town Court and later transported to the Tompkins County Jail, where she is currently being held.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
