An 18-year-old Cortland woman has been arrested in connection with a July fight at Emerson Park in Owasco.
Sheriff Brian Schenck says Salina Losaw-Marshall was taken into custody on September 12 with help from the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office. She was wanted on a warrant for third-degree assault.
Deputies say the charge stems from a July 3 incident following the park’s fireworks show. As cars were leaving, Losaw-Marshall allegedly punched another person in the face during a verbal argument in the parking lot.
She was processed at the Cayuga County Public Safety Building and held overnight before being released the next day at CAP court.
Losaw-Marshall is due back in Owasco Town Court on September 23 at 5 p.m.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
