Geneva General Hospital will be participating in a coordinated Ontario County hazmat drill focused on managing a large-scale chemical exposure incident on Wednesday, September 17th at 9 a.m.
This is in partnership with Ontario County Emergency Management, FF Thompson and other local hospitals, United Way of Greater Rochester and the Finger Lakes, the Ontario County Sheriff’s Department and New York State Department of Health.
The community may see additional emergency vehicles on the Geneva General campus that morning.
Chad Hoffman-Fragale, Vice President of Human Resources and Emergency Management states “Successful emergency management in a hospital relies on comprehensive preparedness—including regular training, clear communication channels, resource availability, and coordinated response plans—to ensure patient safety and maintain critical operations during any crisis.”
Normal operations at Geneva General Hospital will continue without interruption.
