The Keuka College men’s soccer team opened its Empire 8 Conference schedule with a 2-0 loss at Alfred University.
First-year goalkeeper Logan Karn (Caledonia, N.Y.) made six saves in goal for the Wolves, who put early pressure on the Saxons but fell behind in the 23rd minute. Alfred added a second goal in the 67th minute, holding on for the win.
Senior Cole Santiago (Rochester, N.Y.) led Keuka with four shots off the bench. With the loss, the Wolves are now 7-14-4 all-time against Alfred and 1-8-3 at Alfred’s home field.
Keuka will return to action Wednesday, September 17, traveling to Hamburg to face Hilbert College at 4 p.m.
