Seneca County Sheriff Tim Thompson says a Rochester man has been arrested following a domestic incident on Friday afternoon in the Town of Fayette.
Deputies responded around 2:50 p.m. to Route 96 for a report of a dispute in a moving vehicle. The investigation found that 29-year-old Andrew Vogler allegedly grabbed a woman’s jaw during an argument, then put his arm around her neck and pulled her hair, causing injury.
Officials say the incident happened in front of Vogler’s five-year-old child, who was in the back seat of the vehicle.
Vogler was arrested just after 4 p.m. and charged with endangering the welfare of a child and second-degree harassment.
he fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
