Road in Elbridge Closed After Gas Line Struck

Route 5 in Elbridge from the Fastrac toward Auburn is closed at this time after a gas line was struck this afternoon.

The fire department says the line has been secured and is safe, though residents may notice the smell of gas in the air, which is normal and poses no threat. NYSEG crews are on scene and expect repairs to be complete around 10 o’clock.
