The Yates County Sheriff’s Office reports a three-vehicle crash on State Route 54 that left one driver with minor injuries.
Deputies say it happened around 6:40 p.m. Monday near Roy Road. The investigation found that Belinda Garno of Dresden moved from her lane unsafely, striking a tractor and then an oncoming vehicle.
Garno was transported to Soldiers and Sailors Hospital with minor injuries. The other drivers, identified as John Hoover and Dale Wheeler, both of Penn Yan, were checked at the scene by EMS and released.
Garno was issued a traffic ticket for moving from her lane unsafely.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
