Ithaca Police say a 31-year-old man is in custody after being caught in a sexual act with a 13-year-old inside the Seneca Street Parking Garage.
Officers arrested Zachariah Waite of Ithaca without incident last Wednesday. He’s charged with sexual abuse, endangering the welfare of a child, and public lewdness—all misdemeanors.
Waite was arraigned in Ithaca City Court and sent to the Tompkins County Jail. Police say the investigation is ongoing, and anyone who may have had suspicious contact with Waite is urged to contact the Ithaca Police Department through the following means:
