The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of 50-year-old Rodrick Lampley, of Lyons, following an investigation into a suspicious condition on Montezuma Street in the Town of Lyons.
Deputies discovered Lampley in possession of a stolen Aldi grocery cart, which had been taken from the store without permission. He was charged with criminal possession of stolen property in the fifth degree.
Lampley was processed at the Sheriff’s Office, transported to the Wayne County Jail for prints and photos, and released with an appearance ticket to answer the charge in Town of Lyons Court at a later date.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
