A Geneva man is facing charges after police say he damaged a vehicle and threatened another person during a disturbance over the weekend.
According to Canandaigua police, officers responded to Jose and Willy’s on August 31 around 1:26 p.m. following reports of a fight. An investigation determined that 24-year-old Demetrious Seymore climbed onto the hood of a car occupied by another individual. Police say he then pulled out a knife and began kicking in the vehicle’s windshield.
Seymore was arrested and charged with Criminal Mischief in the Third Degree and Menacing in the Second Degree. He was taken to the Ontario County Jail for arraignment.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
