Cayuga County Deputies arrested a Sennett man on August 16 after observing unsafe driving and signs of intoxication.
38-year-old Mario Baltazar was stopped around 10:06 p.m. on East Genesee Street Road near Swamp Road after deputies saw him fail to signal properly while turning. During the traffic stop, deputies determined Baltazar was impaired.
He was arrested for first-offense DWI, aggravated DWI, and several traffic violations, including unsafe lane change, alcohol in a motor vehicle, and improper signaling. A chemical breath test showed a BAC of 0.18 percent.
Baltazar was processed at the Public Safety Building and is scheduled to appear in Sennett Town Court.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
