A Rochester woman has been arrested after deputies reported finding her driving with a forged license plate in Ontario County.
According to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, deputies stopped a 2022 Ford Explorer around 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday after noticing an altered North Carolina plate that did not match the features of a legitimate registration.
The driver, 36-year-old Messiah Fulmore of Rochester, was arrested and charged with second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument. She was also issued multiple citations during the stop, which occurred in the parking lot of the Splash Car Wash on State Route 332.
Fulmore was released with an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Canandaigua Town Court at a later date.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
