Keuka Women’s Volleyball Falls Short at Home Invitational

Keuka College women’s volleyball lost their first two games of the season against Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA) 1-3 and Hilbert College 0-3.
Freshman Alessandra Castañeda led the Wolves with four aces, 11 kills, and nine digs in her first collegiate game against MCLA. She followed that up with another solid performance, tallying 10 kills and 13 digs against Hilbert.

The Wolves started off strong, winning the first set 25-20. But after losing 26-28 in a very close second set. The green and gold lost momentum, losing the final two sets 17-25 and 21-25, respectively.
Hilbert College 3 vs. Keuka College 0
The green and gold dropped all three sets vs the Hawks. They ended the first set losing 12-25. In the second set, it looked like they were going to take it and tie the match, but ultimately lost 28-26. Then, in the third set the Trailblazers won 9 straight points and went on the win 25-14 and finish the match in a sweep.

  • Keuka College was 4-0 against MCLA before today’s match and is now 4-1 in the all-time series
  • The Wolves had an all-time record of 31-4 against Hilbert College, with the series starting in 1979; they are now 31-5 against the Hawks
  • Junior Nina Scott surpassed 100 digs in her career today with 108 all-time
