The Yates County Sheriff’s Office says a Tompkins County man was arrested after deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle in the Town of Potter early Monday morning.
Deputies were called to Middle Road around 1:30 a.m. on Monday, where they found 19-year-old Adam Judd of Brooktondale. An investigation determined Judd had been driving south when his vehicle left the roadway, traveled through a field, and re-entered the road, causing damage to the car.
Judd was charged with driving while intoxicated, operating a vehicle after consuming alcohol under 21, drinking alcohol or using cannabis in a motor vehicle, moving from a lane unsafely, and failure to keep right.
He was taken to Soldiers and Sailors Hospital for a chemical test before being transported to the Yates County Jail to await arraignment in CAP Court.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
