The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Sodus woman following an investigation into a domestic incident.
Deputies say 29-year-old Ashley M. Butler, of Danford Street, was charged with second-degree criminal contempt after allegedly violating a full stay-away order of protection. Investigators say Butler sent handwritten communication to the protected party, which violated the order.
She was arrested and taken to the Wayne County Jail for processing.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
