The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office says a Lakemont woman has been charged following a shoplifting incident at Walmart in Canandaigua.
Deputies were called to the store around 4:54 p.m. on August 29 for a reported larceny. After investigating, deputies arrested 33-year-old Ashley Arcangeli, on a charge of petit larceny.
She’s accused of stealing $112.68 worth of merchandise.
Arcangeli was released with an appearance ticket and will answer the charge in Hopewell Town Court at a later date.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
